25 Habits That Are Good To Get Into
Here are 25 Positive habits for life:
2. Once a week clean your entire house as if some VIP is coming to visit you. When you do this - throw away everything you do not need, give away or everything you have stored by do not use. And make sure you keep everything in order.
3. Getting rid of notifications/unnecessary phone sounds/push notifications. People who need you will call you.
4. A diet that's not too restrictive or that doesn’t exclude a huge food group.
5. Shopping basic clothes. Clothes that do look good. Clothes you dont have to work hard for. Clothes that fit you just right. Stop buying clothes that you will ONE DAY fit into. Get rid of clothes that used to fit you. People expand/shrink. It's life. You can buy new ones when you achieve your dreambody, but you don't have to buy them now HOPING one day you will get into them.
6. Manage your clutter and organize your space periodically. Every week. Every month. Every other day etc on these basis.
7. Unsubscribe from emails and groups you will never visit. Unfollow people who make you feel icky.
8. Confront someone who regularly annoys the shit out of you. Tell them its not welcome. Tell them its not fair on you. If you lose the acquaintance, so be it.
9. Stop being so selfish and petty. If someone asks you for a note, give it to them(unless you’ve worked hard for it and dont really like them, in which case this is understandable). Help your colleague out, give someone a ride if they seem to be needing it( SOMEONE YOU KNOW), listen to someone's rant dedicatedly for a change. We are way too focused on serving ourself and guess what? Someday, you’ll need someone else to serve yourself. And they wont say yes because of how selfish you’ve been your entire life. Stop thinking so small.
10. At a supermarket, don’t check into the 12-items-or-less lane with 46 items in your shopping cart.
11. When a friend is talking to you, do not flip out your Google and check the veracity of what he is saying.
12. When you are talking with a child, squat down and get your face to his or her level and create a level conversation channel. Do not talk down to a child while standing like a skyscraper.
13. When you visit a friend’s bathroom, do not check the content of the medicine cabinet.
14. Even after 30 years of marriage, tell your husband how handsome he is and your wife how beautiful she is.
15. When changing lanes in traffic, do not do it halfway at a red light and stop half exposed, blocking the oncoming traffic.
16. Do not tailgate aggressively when driving; just change your lane.
17. Do not drive in crowded city traffic at night with your high-beams on.
18. Do not invent fake combat or hunting stories when you are talking to a veteran.
19. Clean hairs from the soap bar after you take a shower.
20. Do not gossip about people who are not in the room at that moment.
21. Checking prices at your local bookstore and then going back home and ordering the same from Amazon is not cool.
22. Call the eldest member of your family at least once a year just to say hi.
23. If you are a gym rat, don’t lecture other people about how they should exercise too to lose all that fat.
24. Do not discuss your politics, religion, or money with anyone. Neither you nor your audience will be happy.
25. Do not use universal and absolute qualifiers like “everybody,” “nobody,” “all the time,” “always,” or “never.”
